Day 9: April 1, 2016

Time to leave Switzerland and head back into Germany. We drove North towards Zurich and crossed the border into Southern Germany. Our first stop was the Black Forest in Germany, where we were saw a cuckoo clock demonstration, had opportunity to get those final souvenirs but most importantly enjoy the Black forest cake…Yum! We walked off the calories on a quick hike through the forest before getting back for our final leg of German Autobahn all the way up to the famous university city of Heidelberg. We started off with a visit to the beautiful Prince Electors Castle, saw the biggest wine barrel we have ever seen (big enough to fit a dancefloor on top of it), enjoy the view from the terrace and strolled through the old town. One last chance for shopping before dinner, which was the typical German speciality Spätzle in a local restaurant. On the way back to the bus we stopped for photos at the Old Bridge and then got on the bus for a final sing-along. It has been another fun day. We are repacking our bags right now, tomorrow is an early start to get to the airport.
