Day 6: March 29, 2016

Venice is a truly magical city. Since it is entirely built on water we were taken into town by a boat which took us to the island of Murano for an original and very fascinating glass blowing demonstration before dropping us off right next to St. Mark’s Square. There our local guide Giovanna was waiting for us. She took us into the Doge’s Palace and showed us round St. Marks Square. After some free time for lunch and shopping (finally!!) we all went on a gondola ride along some small canals and the Canale Grande, all the way to the Rialto Bridge, an unforgettable experience. We then had some more time for strolling around this awesome city and of course had to have gelato (or two...). In the evening our boat took us back to Jesolo where we had dinner at our hotel and went to bed dreaming of gondolas and gondolieris
