Day 2: July 3, 2013

Were we still alive?? as we had been travelling for ages…. Everyone was happy to land at Paris airport this morning around 8:30AM. Explorica’s chartered bus took us to our hotel located on the northern fringe of Paris. We checked in (luggage only) ,then quickly set off for our Paris walking tour. We hopped on the subway to get there (they call it “le Metro”), and emerged above ground on the famous Champs Elysées, Paris main drag. Then we WALKED all day like troopers !!! We managed to do a number of Paris major sights. There were of course a few stops on the way, lunch break in hip St Honoré, and photo stops at the Louvre or along the banks of the river Seine (so romantic !!). We finished at Notre Dame. Then on the subway again, back to the Champs. We had dinner next to “Arc de Triomphe”. Could we have asked for more? Yes ! get back our hotel eventually , and hit our pillows for a good night of sleep.. What a day !!
