Day 8: March 19, 2016
This is our last day in Spain. A full day we want to make the most of it and we did. Left the hotel this morning and got on the bus. We were happy to see Javi, our driver on tour. He took us to Ventas bullring were we met with Eoina, our local guide. Took few photos of the ring and continued on our sightseeing tour of Madrid covering most sights. A second stop was at Santiago Bernabeu soccer stadium, home of Real Madrid. It is a big stadium with a capacity for 82 thousand espectators. Situated in Castellana avenue, the longest and most famous address in the capital. Drove to some more sights until we reached Plaza de España and the monument to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the most important Spanish writer. This is where we met Don Quijote and Sancho Panza. The Royal palace was something else. What a grand and impressive palace, the largest in Europe. The afternoon was dedicated to the arts. Antonio took us to the Prado museum and this is where we enjoyed one of the most important art collection of classical paintings in the world. Our last dinner was at a local restaurant. Tapas for everyone.
