We left San Sebastián this morning after a filling breakfast. We were expecting a long drive on the bus today as it was anticipated but realised it was a beautiful one too. The scenery was absolutetly gorgeous as we crossed south the Vasc country. The mountain range was impressive as we snaked through it seeing the snow up on the top of the peaks. So eventually reached this announced region of Castilla and Leon, the former historical kingdom of Castilla. Very influencial and poweful in medieval time as well as after the discovery of America. As a prove of it, Valladolid, our first visit after having stopped previously for lunch. Valladolid is where the Catholic king married, a couple that went on to change the course of History. A tour of the city with our local guide unveiled a pristine and rich town, capital of this region. This is here where Christopher Columbus died too in 1515. The impressive Plaza Mayor was the end of our walking tour and the area where we had a n ice cream. We reached Salamanca and went for a visit walking tour before dinner at our centrally located hotel.
