Moselle & Rhine Rivers Teacher Convention

July 17, 2019  -  July 24, 2019

Today we cruised through some of the most beautiful and romantic parts of the Rhine River. Amongst other things, we saw the Lorelei rock, made famous by romantic poems speaking of a siren like creature whose beauty lures men to their deaths. We also saw the castle of the cat, the castle of the mouse and many others. In the afternoon, our boat docked at Mainz, where a small group of us visited the city center and the Gutenberg museum with a local guide, while a larger group went to the Rhineland vineyards and enjoyed, really enjoyed, the Rhineland wines. In the evening, our boat left the Rhineland wine area to head for Strasbourg, where we will dock and get off tomorrow morning.
