Hotel check-in after 4pm
Details: Freedom Trail character walking tour
With Ben Franklin (or one of his 18th century contemporaries) as your guide, you’ll experience a true chapter of American history in the very places that shaped the nation that we are today. With 16 nationally significant historic sites along the 2.5 mile red-brick walking trail, you’ll gain a tremendous insight into the important role that Boston played in the American Revolution. From the USS Constitution, to the Bunker Hill monument, the Old South Meeting House, King’s Chapel, and all the way to the Boston Common, you’ll stroll back in time into one of Boston’s—and the nation’s—most cherished pieces of history.
Day 2 First day of festival performances
Details: Festival performances
Please note performances will take place either on Friday or Saturday. Each ensemble will have 30-35 minutes on stage. A panel of three adjudicators will provide written and recorded feedback for each performance. Following your performance, a select adjudicator will conduct a clinic on stage with your group, providing valuable feedback and reinforcement for your classroom teachings. Groups will also have the opportunity to participate as an audience for other groups competing – giving your ensemble exposure to their peers.
Day 3 Continue festival performances
Details: Continue festival performances
Festival performances will continue throughout the day. Your performance time will be given to you weeks before the event, so you can plan your day accordingly.
